Why this site exists
If you cook Pakistani or Indian food outside South Asia, buying the right gear is surprisingly hard. Most buying guides are written for Indian shops and Indian voltages, and most US and UK review sites have never made a roti. This site is written for home cooks in the US, the UK and Canada who want to know what actually works in their kitchen, on their stove, with their plugs.

- Where we have used a product ourselves, we say so clearly.
- Where we have not, we compare published specifications, materials, voltage and warranty, and patterns in genuine owner feedback, and we say that too.
